Illinois Real Estate Post License Courses
Illinois Brokers and Managing Brokers are required to take 45 hours of post-license courses within the first licensing term and prior to first license renewal. There are three 15 hour courses:
- Applied Brokerage Principles
- Risk Management/Discipline
- Transactional Issues
This online course includes the 3 15-hour courses required by the Illinoius Real Estate Commission. It also includes the recently required 1-hour course on Sexual Harassment. The one hour Sexual Harassment course is included in the Risk Management course (not an additional hour).
License renewal is required for Illinois real estate licensees every two years. Education requirements for renewal are based upon the date an individual was originally licensed in Illinois. Broker license renewal and Residential Leasing Agent license renewal occur in even-numbered years. Managing Broker license renewal occurs in odd-numbered years.
