Arkansas Real Estate License Reciprocity
How to transfer your real estate license from another state to Arkansas .
What is real estate license reciprocity? One may obtain a real estate license by reciprocity or mutual recognition if the person has a current license in another state. It basically means you would transfer your license without having to take some or all of the state’s pre-licensing requirements. Requirements for an of-state-real estate license vary by state.
Does Arkansas have real estate reciprocity with other states?
Yes, with certain states. Arkansas has real estate reciprocity for persons currently licensed in Alabama, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Nebraska, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Washington, and West Virginia. The applicant will still need to take the state portion of the Arkansas exam (30 questions).
Possible waiver (if not licensed in a reciprocal state.) Others who are currently licensed may request a waiver to take only the Arknasas portion of the exam if the applicant 1) passed the general portion of the exam, 2) scored the Arkasas minimum score (70%) and 3) is licensed in the other state when taking the Arkansas exam If not licensed in the other state at the time of the Arkansas exam, the waiver applies if the applicant passed the other state exam within six months prior to the month the applicant takes and passes the Arkansas exam.
