Real Estate License Requirements
These are the state requirements to become an
Alaska real estate agent and Broker.
Salesperson applicants must:
1. Be at least nineteen (19) years old
2. Apply for licensure within eighteen (18) months
of the date of completing the required salesperson
education
3. Apply for licensure within six (6) months of
passing the examination
4. By affiliation, work with a licensed Alaska
real estate broker
5. Pay the appropriate licensing fee
Broker applicants must:
1. Apply for licensure within eighteen (18) months
of the date of completing the required broker
training
2. Apply for a license within six (6) months of
passing the examination
3. Have been licensed as a salesperson, with real
estate as a principal occupation, for twenty-four
(24) consecutive months within the past thirty-six
(36) months immediately preceding application for
the broker’s license
