Continuing Education Requirements
- Must complete 20 hours of approved education
- Eight hours are Designated CE that stress current trends in real estate practices and changes in state, federal and case law in the areas of real estate sales, property management, community association management or commercial sales
- Twelve hours are elective CE courses.
- All Real Estate Licenses expire on January 31 of even-numbered years regardless of when first issued, except new licenses issued within 90 days of the expiration date will be issued to the next two year period.
- Alaska Real Estate Licensees are not allowed to complete more than 10 hours of courses in a 24 hour period. It is up to the licensee to monitor this and ensure they are not completing more than 10 total hours in a 24 hour period.
Beginning February 1, 2008 all new licensees will be required to complete 30 hours of post-licensing education within 1 year of being licensed which must be completed in a classroom setting. We do not offer the post-licensing courses at this time.
